First Poster for Interstellar Debuts Ahead of 2nd Trailer

The first official poster for Interstellar has debuted online today in advance of next week’s full trailer debut. Very much in the vein of Steven Spielberg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind, the poster offers a sense of wonder and grandeur about space and humanity that feels timeless and modern all in one shot, check it out below:
The poster debuts ahead of the second trailer for the film, which is now all but officially debuting in front of Godzilla on May 16. We tweeted hearing about the trailer being 2m 24s in length, but it now appears the length will be 2m 54s. In fact, the trailer is already playing at one IMAX theater in Washington DC. The Smithsonian’s Air & Space Museum premiered exlusively yesterday on 15/70 film at the Lockheed Martin IMAX Theater. Until then, gaze at the new poster and discuss its beauty in the forums.
