Hello everyone! Before you think this is SPAM, let me assure you. I am a musician looking to expand my horizons in cinematic music, and I'd love to gain new experience by contributing to your work. When I say "for free", I mean it!! My only requirement is that my name be credited in your film as the score composer. Basically, you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. I get my name out there, and you get my music. All I want is my work "advertised" through your film, and that's it! We both win!

I realize it can be hard to find cheap, good music to add to your film, and maybe it's even a chore to make the music yourself... so this is my contribution to making your lives easier. I love film as an art form, and I love the power that music can contribute to that, whether its ambient noise, strings, pulse-thumping action music, etc.

Here's how it works:

- You tell me what you want in your film.
- I'll compose it.
- I'll send it to you, or upload it on Soundcloud.com.
- You tell me if you like it or not (if it fits your scene)
- You keep it, or you tell me to try again.
- You put my name in your credits as the music composer.
- You do not own the music... you simply use it for your film and give me credit for it.

That's it!

Also, let's say there's one particular track that someone else likes, and they would like that particular piece of music in their film as well. That's okay too... I can spread singular pieces of music to different people. In other words, one piece of music I write doesn't have to specific to one film. Again, all that I require is my name in the credits.

Please keep me in mind in the future, and once again, I promise this is legit! I look forward to working with all of you!

If anyone wants to get started with samples / requests right now, I'm game!

Hey,

Might i ask you for a sample for a scene?

Basically, it is the opening scene with the credits. It is kind of a lazy scene which begins with focusing on three guys in a house lazily doing stuff like browsing, gaming and watching tv.

Just wanted to see how it works. Let me know. Thanks! :)

Working on it right now! Give me a day or two, and I'll post a link.
Would you like just kind of a breezy, jazzy funk thing? Or something more symphonic/ambient?
There's a wide variety of what I can do, on my computer as well as with a keyboard/synthesizer. It's basically a personal studio, with microphones for vocals as well. :)

Here are examples of just ambient work. This is a set:

http://soundcloud.com/dj-zackatrack/final-tides --- Kind of a calm, washed-away vibe I went for here

http://soundcloud.com/zackatrack/ambiance-1 --- You'll notice a David Julyan influence
http://soundcloud.com/zackatrack/ambience-2
http://soundcloud.com/zackatrack/ambience-3 --- More of a Julyan influence
http://soundcloud.com/zackatrack/ambience-4 --- One of my favorites, a dark, atmospheric vibe

I also compose electro/funk/house stuff, basically electronica with my own beats. (I'm a percussionist/drummer. ) Some of it is overlapped on ambient demos to create an ambient house track. I've got over 50 tracks of this stuff alone, all 100% entirely composed from scratch, by me!

Hi! I'm currently working on a project with my little cousins. They really like it when we all get together and make videos and what not, and, well, its' a great opportunity for me to practice and get better. I do all the writing, planning, directing and they just act. Right now we don't do anything major, just fun things, like a short film about a game of tag or something. In the future, like a month maybe, could you do a little music for it? And of course you'd be 100% credited, I really wouldn't have it any other way. So yeah

Listening to your stuff right now by the way, really good!

Oh wow ....I usually score my own films but THIS would take some of the work load off so thanx for the offer. I re-use a lot of stuff too so it would be cool to have a "action cue" for multiple use or a romantic cue let's say. Thank you for the offer I'll keep this in mind for my next movies.
