Feature Screenplay Feedback.

Hey NF :D

I've got a nifty little feature script down, finally, after months of planning it out, writing it, easing out the dialogue. You know the story

PLACEBO

I think it's a bit of a mindfuck, inspired by Memento and The Prestige, but applied to contemporary sci-fi.

I'm posting the first 25 pages, to see what you all think. I may post the rest, piece by piece, but first want to see if what I have at the beginning is intriguing.

Thanks! :goNF: :D

Feature Screenplay Feedback.

I read it, I think it's good... obviously you need to go through it cos there are some small mistakes (like Tom is called the Man in some places..)

One thing a friend of mine (a student in this really fancy Film School in my country) told me when I mentioned my screenplay was that when you write in a non chronological order it's important to have a reason for it, and it's better to have a reason other than 'a twist' in the end (I'm still trying to get a grip about the order I'll have in my screenplay lol). Sometimes films in a nonlinear order appear to be more like a cheap trick rather than exciting. So far, I felt like maybe your jumping through times happens a little too much. IMO, I liked the order in The Prestige, where you felt there's a real reason for the cutting. But then, I haven't seen the rest of your screenplay yet so perhaps I'll be proven wrong ;)

Other than that, I like it. It's just a guess but I'm hoping they'll be using the machine to do some bad stuff which will be something new compared to most time-travel pieces. :)
