It is a "keeper of the book" plot.
There is this Maguffin object - The Book - which cause strange things to happen.
the good thing is that everything that happens has a symbolic message that relates to the character and the plot
e.g. an hourglass represents time or losing time

Isn't this the screenplay you wrote that I read?
If so, the trailer is too weak. You can't understand anything of it...
David emerges from the store slowly. He braces himself against a parked car and then keeps on walking in a nightmarish daze.

WE PULL BACK as David blends in with dozens and dozens of ordinary people, walking on an ordinary street, in an ordinary city.

it is but i edited it so much
the trailer is a tease
