Agreed. Usually they also would like to see some form of portfolio of your work, for example a showreel.

All right, thanks for the help guys, we're in talks to set a date for the pitch and everything so I'll dwell into those specifics next time I'm in contact with him.

I would ask straight up asap. You don't want to be wasting his/her time or even your own.
