It's okay, unless you get something like this on your hands.

I think that sort of medium acknowledgement isn't breaking the fourth wall unless your characters talk about the events in the plot like "This is like something out of a movie".

No, unless you made that film.

No. If the scene was referencing the film, then it would be breaking the fourth wall. Like, for example, in Spaceballs, they hired a copy of the film to see what would happen next.

Mentioning a certain movie is not breaking the fourth wall. Doesn't matter if you made that movie or not.

All movies are set in their own universe. Breaking the the fourth wall means that the movie acknoliges that someone (you) are watching them. Acknolige that their universe is fictional or that they are actually in the movie (Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Scary Movie).

There is a scene in Ocean's Twelve that comes to mind:
Julia Roberts plays Tess Ocean. However, in the movie, Tess gets recognised as the actress "Julia Roberts" (which her character isn't). Even that ain't breaking the fourth wall, because in the story Tess is not Julia Roberts, they just really look alike!

Mentioning a movie can only break the fourth wall if the mentioned movie is actually a prequel.
The movie "The Human-Centipede" focusses on a mad scientist that tortures people. "The Human-Centipede 2" focusses on a copycat who actually saw the first movie.
In the sequel, the fourth wall actually stays up, but it breaks it for the first movie.
Sure as hell can't hold down a job. Not too many professions out there that value forgetfulness. Prostitution, maybe. Politics, of course.

That sums it up. Perfect examples.

Generally, the simple mention of a film is just considered a Shout-Out.

I want to make a clarification, also. Also!! One must not confuse the existence of a Genre-Savyy Character (who may act like if he/she where in a fictional story) with breaking the fourth wall. It's not always the same.

For example, in the show Community, the character of Abed acts like if his life were a sit-com. He notices the clichés of other characters and sometimes mentions he's in 'an episode'. But because the rest of characters consider him to be crazy and it's not taken into account in-universe, it's not considered breaking the fourth wall.
