Questions ahoy!

I only have Imovie and am asking you guys,
Does anyone use something other than Imovie? Is Imovie the single most amateur thing on the planet? Is there better stuff?

For Horror Motel, we used Final Cut Pro.

Never used iMovie.

FCP is MUCH BETTER! iMovie is alright, but FCP allows you to control everything when it comes down to editing..as opposed to iMovie where there are only a handful of choices you can make.

Premiere Pro CS6 is my personal favorite for the following reasons:

1. The Speed (it is the fastest NLE I have ever used)
2. The Integration with After Effects and Photoshop
3. The little improvements of well known effects ( 3 way color corrector, etc), and new additions ( Anti Aliasing, Rolling Shutter Repair).

This is only scratching the surface of the program, but these are the features I use and enjoy the most.

But Avid and Final Cut Pro 7 are also great options. (I'm not so sure about FCPX, but I haven't used it.)

As for the free options, IMovie is the best your going to get.
