Saito refers to the top which he sees while Cobb is in the chemist's place.But Saito and Cobb met in reality right?How is it a half-remembered dream?

He's refering back when Cobb tried to steal that info from the safe when he was discussing how to keep his subconcious safe from any other Extractor. The half-remembered dream may refer to how he has age and doesn't remember most of his life.
