And I don't really think that the characters needed more development - just because we didn't explicitly get their direct motives for joining Cobb, it didn't make a difference. They were all likeable enough for you to be on the edge of your seat when they were desperately trying to iniciate the kick.

What I liked most was that there were subtle hints to the characters' back stories, like the scene where Eames talks about how he tried to perform Inception, and Arthur talks about the 'Stein job'. Those brief quotes tell you so much about the opportunistic nature of the characters.

Maybe I'm alone, but character development depends partly upon perception, and I loved each and every character.

had a james bond feel that scene. that particular scene alone show's why tom hardy would b perfect for james bond. ;)

YES!!! Tom Hardy NEEDS to be Bond.

I still love the film to death. I think The Dark Knight is still Nolan's best film, but both are masterworks in my opinion.

No snow level is derivative and unexciting in comparison to the rest of the film. I've seen snow ski chases a billion times (James Bond franchise says hello) and even if Inception would have executed the scenes better, it still feels out of place for the film. That and Ellen Page are the film's issues. But I'm certainly a bit easier on it than I was when it first came out.

I think the snow level is pretty awesome, and Ariadne is the audience's thorough-fare into the story and the universe of the film. If anything, the snow fortress tells us that if any director in hollywood could pull off Metal Gear Solid, it's Nolan. 8-)

i now know what my friend youtube meant by wanting chris nolan to make a metal gear solid movie. that would b incredible. ellen page was gr8 in my opinion in this movie. however she did have the WORST line in the entire movie.

That part could have been written and played much more subtly then it was. It's painfully obvious that she's only there as an excuse to set up the dream rules for the audience and to give Cobb a reason to talk about how troubled he is. I'm fine with both of those things, but it wasn't handled well in the film.

They might as well have broke the fourth wall. "ALRIGHT RETARDS IN THE AUDIENCE WHO CAN'T POSSIBLY KEEP UP. HERE'S WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN NOW!"

I agree to some extent but without her the movie would've been a incomprehensible mess that doesn't make any sense

Doesn't mean there isn't a better way to handle it. Seriously it's not that complicated to begin with and her Q&A session with DiCaprio are so heavy handed. It's more so her therapy and self righteousness that eats away at me. Like where do you get the nerve you college twit! Ugh and the whole I'm going to tell the rookie all my life instead of my most trusted partner. I never like that narrative tool. Testament to the rest of the film that I still very much love the movie.
