tl;dr version: The meaning of the movie is revealed by acrostics in the character's names. Others discovered the acrostic "dreams pay" in the main character names:

Dom
Robert
Eames
Arthur
Mal
Saito
Peter
Ariadne
Yusuf

No one else found this one, however:

Philippa
Rod Green
James
Charles
Tadashi
Nash
Stephen Miles

Projections -- the whole movie was a dream. Maurice Fischer's dream

As did Nolan. Think about it--if I am correct, then there is an entire additional level of complexity that everyone missed, and yet everyone had to miss it for it to make sense. The movie becomes a metafictional paradox; Nolan becomes the Godel of filmmakers.

This would make it the deepest movie ever made... and in my opinion, the best.
