What's up with every movie using the Inception theme?

This 2010 contemporary sci-fi actioner follows a subconscious security team around the globe and into the intimate and infinite world of dreams.

You know, the one with the loud, booming horns. Anyone notice that seemingly every big budget / action movie nowdays uses some variation of that theme?

Some do it more subtly then others, but it's very obvious when you hear it.

Just off the top of my head... Bourne Legacy, Skyfall, Transformers dark side of the moon, Prometheus..

I'm sure there's more, but you get the point. It's really annoying. I'm not sure if it's Hans Zimmer composing any of these movies but I doubt he's just reuse the same idea over and over.

Be original , stop copying other people work!!

A lot of trailer music is composed by specialists, those who make music exclusively for trailers. Prometheus for example used music by Audiomachine and to be honest the "genre" has its own tropes. And Mind Heist, which first debuted with the Inception trailer, wasn't by Hans Zimmer but instead by Zack Hemsey (who also does trailer music).

Large booming brass just so happens to be the latest trend.

Hitman Absolution in game trailer used it as well. They didnt sample it rather they just made it themselves. It's amazing how companies or marketing companies will jump on the hype over something great and use it to their own advantage.. just because.
