Yikes. Take it easy bud.

Broccoli and Wilson are notorious for not letting filmmakers have their own vision. They just did it to Danny Boyle. He's arguably one of the best living today. And I'm sure you'll find that Sam Mendes had issues as well.
Not making an argument for who's the better director, but neither Mendes nor Boyle has had the same creative freedom as Nolan has for most of their movies. Nolan directs, writes and produces all of his films (except for Insomnia), and he proves time and time over that his vision along with a big budget is enough to make extremely successful movies in every measure there is. There is only one visionary director in Hollywood that consistently earns back insane amount of money to the studio in the way Nolan does, and that's Cameron, who makes a movie every decade.

Both T2 and Steve Jobs didn't make a profit. And they both cost a fraction of what Nolan's five latest films did. Obviously EON isn't going to let Boyle do whatever he wants. The same people should let Nolan do whatever he wants. And when time comes they will.

I think Nolan would do a Bond film if two things happened:

- Nolan has full creative control.
- EON/Broccoli/Wilson allow that.

I don't really see that happening, haha.

Nolan's better off not bothering with it, in my opinion. He'd end up being miserable if it's not his vision.
it's really ridiculous that you think there will be any kind of producers or studios that will have any kind of doubt about christopher nolan's vision.

Non of them had a success that resemble that of Nolan.

I don't think there is any accident to Nolan waiting until 2020 to direct his next movie. The same year as the next and final Craig Bond? Nolan pretty much does a movie every two years. I need to lay down a fat bet in Vegas on Nolan directing the next Bond.

He said he loved the character growing up. Gets a chance to cast a new Bond for himself. He will probably use the Bond franchise like he did the Batman franchise. Do a big blockbuster franchise movie like Bond/Batman then leverage against the studio to do an innovative orginal movie in between Bonds en route to a triology.

2022/2023 - Bond 26
2024/2025 - original movie
2026/2027 - Bond 27
2028/2029 - original movie
2030/2031 - Bond 28
2032/2033 - original movie
2034/2035 - original movie

That TL takes him to 65 and 18 movies. Might be at 20 movies at 70.

We will see what happens. Only thing that would throw a wrench in this is if they cast a new Bond before Nolan jumps on or he doesn't feel like dealing with the inevitable pressure to cast a black Bond. (I personally think Elba would make a great Bond but Nolan may have someone else in mind.)

Anyways we will see.

I really am hoping for Nolan's next movie (after his 2020 film) to be Bond, and as you said the timing couldn't be more perfect.

I'm sure Hardy is his top choice. Now I'm sitting and wondering if I personally would like Hardy as Bond.

Again, as long as it has nothing to do with Warner Bros. it will never ever happen.

I can't believe this thread was created 9 years ago. So much time and energy wasted on this subject.

Saw No Time To Die yesterday. The more I think about the movie, the more it makes me sad. It really feels like Nolan would be put in a no win situation if he took on the franchise at this time. The state of society killed so much more than Craig with that movie. As I said, just makes me sad more than anything and I hope Nolan doesn't touch it until the time is right (at least 15 years from now).
