After Daniel Craig hangs up his special agent badge and retires to a life of non action roles, we have the perfect replacement.

British actor Tom hardy has thrown his hat in the ring to take over the James Bond mantle when his countryman quits the role.

Hardy, 34, has admitted that he would jump at the chance to play England’s most famous spy and all round ladies man.

In an interview with Verity Geere on Magic 105.4 Breakfast Show, he said: ‘I’d love to play Bond with Chris Nolan director or something, it would be awesome.’

This needs to happen.

My picks for Bond: Idris Elba, Michael Fassbender, Henry Cavill, or Tom Hardy. If Nolan directs, the most likely is Tom Hardy.
Sergeant Hartman: Oh that's right, Private Pyle, don't make any fucking effort to get to the top of the fucking obstacle! If God would have wanted you up there he would have miracled your ass up there by now, wouldn't he?!

I see all of them being in a Nolan Bond film, tbh. Have Hardy as Bond and Fassbender as the main antagonist. Cavill and Elba could possibly play neutral characters.

I really don't see why they're hiring A-list directors for Bond movies. I am a huge Bond fan, but I'd like it better if someone less prolific directs it. Guys like Nolan and Mendes... they don't need a movie like Bond to set off their already amazing and successful careers. Sure, they'll bring something "new" to the table but did anyone see Quantum of Solace? Didn't feel like a Bond movie AT ALL. Point is, as a filmmaker myself, I'd rather just see someone deserving and relatively unknown (but necessarily inexperienced, experience is important) get a shot at making Bond.

Hardy is a great actor very talented but no Bond, people have enough of a problem with Craig in the role Hardy would cause riots.
Fassbender would have been brilliant but he's too big now, no actor has been at that level and then been cast, Moore probably was the most high profile, Connery was an unknown, Lazenby the same, Dalton was known for stage work, Brosnan some TV work and straight to VHS work

The next Bond will be relatively unknown just like Craig was, anyone try and say DC was a name is talking rubbish it was only Layer Cake and then Munich that got him out to a wider audience but he was far from a house hold name and that is the way it should be. It was only the likes of myself who's witnessed his incredible performance in Our Friends In The North and then other work in the UK.

Bond actors should be relative unknowns because they have little well known work they can be associated with, Hardy & Fass are far beyond that, mark my words neither will be Bond.

Of course. But that doesn't make a difference. Nolan needs to stop making bockbusters and go back to films like The Prestige or Memento. Not to mention that, despite its complexity and the fantastic directing, Inception is still my least favorite Nolan film.

My least favourite Nolan films are the Batman movies. They"re great but idk thy don't have the same quality as the others. Inception was such a breath of fresh air. Loved it so much. People seems to think it's cool to hate on it. But I'm just looking forward to post-TDKR era.
The Prestige and Inception are my favourites from him followed close by Memento.
