Speculation and discussion about Christopher Nolan's possible and confirmed future projects.
Greetings Nolanites.
So no new Nolan announced? No hints? Nothing? No chance of Interstellar the sequel? Thanks folks.

The movies he's done so far will never have a sequel. Trust me. Maybe some of future ones.
Basically all we know about his next project is that he is working on it. And then we know that he at some point wants to do a Bond film, and the fact that he has a Howard Hughes script lying in a drawer that he wanna finish at some point.
Some here are speculating that he is doing the next Bond installment after the announced Craig/Boyle film, kicking off a new Bond, and that he is doing one more original in between with release in around 1-2 years. But we have no idea what that might be or if that's even correct. Everything is speculation at this point.

Thanks for the info. A Bond doesn't inspire me frankly. I'd rather he did something original. And God knows when a Bond after the Danny Boyle Bond would even be. 5 years from now? Howard Hughes would be interesting. The Warren Beatty movie was a big flop and I'm among the non-fans of the old Scorsese. Di Caprio wasn't Hughes.

Has there been any more news about that porn star biopic that was supposed to be kept under wraps? The fact that we haven't heard anything could mean something... this is potentially Nolan we're dealing with

I'm still doubtful Nolan's gonna touch that considering his continued desire to make films that reach mass audiences

Is porn really a turn off to mass audiences these days? I know Boggie Nights didn't reach mass audiences but it did very well for itself and that was 20 years ago. Plus Wolf Of Wall Street, while not about pron, made nearly $400 million dollars despite featuring some of the most explicit sexual material ever put in a major Hollywood film.
A good part of Wolf's success was just how profane and unapologetic it was. I just don't particularly see Nolan going super crass/raunchy in a film. And I'm not sure a straight-laced biopic about that topic would go over well with a mass audience
