Yeah, I'm not arguing. I agree he should do whatever he wants. He's my favorite director ever. If anyone is in that rare position, it's him.
But studio execs, however, never surprise me. They're greedy. And they want franchises. They don't really care about WWII films as much anymore. They see Marvel Studios and Star Wars and Fast & Furious and and Jurassic World and they want to jump in on the action. WWII films won't hit the billion mark. Neither will Westerns.
It's not how I feel... I want more Prestiges and Mementos, without a doubt.
Please, stop using 'Inception' and '2' in one sentence. Or 'Interstellar' and '2' for that matter...

I was about to say that Michael Bay is another but then I remembered Pain & Gain. Also the Russos will have 4 films above 500 mil next year, including three with over a billion in a row and potentially two with over 2 billion, which would make them only the second after Cameron.
Well, I would like to see the Russo brothers doing something different beyond the MCU.
