Well, after I briefly review this POI thread, I'm pretty surprised that some Nolan fans have got sick (srsly?) and given up on this show.
IMO, so far it's doing well, outperforming many lousy TV craps in recent years. Maybe that's because I didn't expect too much in the beginning.(I mean, you didn't expect Jonah to write EVERY episode, right? And I don't consider the pilot boring or very bad)
There are a few substandard episodes indeed (it's not unusual for series) though, still the characters and their back stories plot get me hooked. Its concept might not be novel, but I just like the way they use weekly POI to reflect the emotion of main characters. Cinematography is also good in many episodes.
And just say it in advance, praising this show doesn't mean that there doesn't exist amazing shows like Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, etc, according to MANY opinions in this thread before. Why can't we enjoy both? It's just different type of shows to me, and I only want to express how Person of Interest is appealing.
But in the end, it's just a matter of own taste. Haters gonna hate.
