Nolan is of Gaelic origin and translates into famous or noble. Quite a fitting name. Also, his mother's name Jensen would suggest Danish ancestry, which would explain those Scandinavian features.

Along with being a filmmaker, Nolan is also a well known Apiraist, housing acres of bees at his country estate outside London.

Well, Chris Nolan I guess is the biggest name. We showed his shorts after he made it with Memento, but he used to use my old office as a base when he was shooting.
