Nolan has had a p good 2010s output but far from the best

Scorsese
James Gray
Kelly Reichardt
Koreeda
Lav diaz
Fincher
PTA
Claire Denis
Spielberg
Kiarostami
Apichatpong Weerasethakul

Some that are on his level of output:
Fincher
Tsai Ming Liang
Makoto Shinkai
Lynne Ramsay

Really just coming to my mind right now probably many more filmmakers to name.

I think Villenueve has had the best 2010’s of any director probably.
Incendies, Prisoners, Enemy, Sicario, Arrival, BR2049, and is probably gonna release Dune in 2019 I’m guessing. Idk how he’s able to make such quick turnarounds between projects, and still maintain that level of quality.

DV doesn't write (except for Incendies) and/or produce his films like most of the other bigger directors. That makes it easier doing a film a year basically.

Lynne Ramsay or Paul Thomas Anderson.

In terms of who has made the most impressive films since the beginning of the decade, there is Scorsese and Nolan and everybody else is way below those two.£

PTA is way above those two 2000-2009 and 2010-now, imo.

I'd go PTA, Nolan, Scorsese, del Toro, QT.

Del Toro has made way too many mediocre movies to be considered at this point. In the future maybe.

I can see a load more positives in his work than negatives, unlike a lot of other upcoming directors often high up on these sorta lists.

I think my love for Pan's and his general pallete muddies reason a little, but he's up there for me.
