Nolan has incredible imagination, but more importantly, he actually follows through with his ideas and puts them up on the screen. What's your favorite action sequence, shot, or set piece?

Mine is definitely the plane hijacking. When I saw it for the first time in the IMAX preview, I was completely blown away. It's the most beautiful thing I have ever seen on the screen and one of the most thrilling and terrifying experiences I've ever had. The scene is edited, performed, and scored perfectly. The amount of danger involved during production and the fact that pretty much nothing like that has ever been attempted truly astonishes me.

Hijack

I class the SWAT chase and Truck Flip as one big action sequence, so that. With the hijacking in second.

For me it was a toss up between zero gravity and swat chase. But swat won after much thought. Great thread

Among some I didn't list:

1. Log chase scene in Insomnia (wonderful use of perspective)
2. Bruce vs. Ra's sword fight on Ice (beautifully shot and choreographed)

So hard to choose just one, but the bank robbery might be the most perfectly edited, scored, and directed sequences of film I have ever laid eyes on. Heart beating through my chest every time I saw that shit in IMAX.
