- Back in 79, before knowing anything about Alien, I saw its amazing trailer which blew my mind while still keeping me in the dark about the movie (and very excited about it). So, when it opened here, I was the very first in the line (something that never happened again) of the first showing, and I knew zero about it plot-wise. That's a wonderful feeling, seeing a movie completely fresh and being blown away by it. Since then, I became an Alien fanboy.
- In 86, I managed to be one of the guests of an early screening premiere of Aliens. Though a different take on the subject, I loved it too.
- And in 92, I was in Miami at the first screening of Alien 3. Seeing the third film in the US made it special, and I also liked Fincher's depressive take on it pretty much.
and now, after all this history, all the expectation and hype about it, I ended up missing Prometheus in the theater.
I feel just sad about it.
