I could wile away the hours
Conferrin' with the flowers
Consultin' with the rain
And my head I'd be scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain

Holy fuck Dodd, even a mostly non-woosy like me had to turn away for much of that video!

Of course some of the things I'm wondering about are things like "Is this common within all companies that produce meat and seafood?" "Are there companies that use ethical practices, and is there a way to find out which companies use them?" "In all honesty, how can the government not have done something about this yet?" Not sure if you have any info. on these things, but I'm sure there's a lot on the internet with information about it, too. Will definitely look into this more
You know for a while there, I thought you really were Dent. The way you threw yourself after her.

I think the idea that we should cease eating all meat is pretty ridiculous. However, we should definitely consume less meat as a society.

Animal Cruelty

After watching a TV show on the way animals are treated before being butchered for their meat (the way they throw living chickens one on top of another for example so those at the bottom die by suffocation) I stopped eating meat. I was a proper carnivore before that so if I could make the change anyone can.

What bothers me is a. The decision that everything was put on this planet for our own use and benefit..
b. Unrelated to vegetarianism in the last few years there's been an increase of animal cruelty cases by just stupid kids. Dogs, cats.. I volunteer at an animal shelter and even those who don't love animals as much as I do would be appalled by some of the things I see. If someone can harm an innocent creature like that imagine what they can do to someone who actually teases them. I also think this belongs under "the world is getting dumber" thread.

Animal Cruelty

Meat is necessary for mankind to survive lol. It's like the 1 thing humans ate since their beginning.

Vegetarianism is some 18th century invention. Medically, vegetarianism is not healthy at all. But keep on dreaming it is.

I'm against torturing animals before killing them for food. I think there are much easier ways and less painful ways to kill these animals without hurting them like that. But then again... maybe I'm wrong.

I'm against animal cruelty as in kids beating to death a poor kitten... but I'm not against eating meat lol. That's absurd.

Rifa hit it right on the head.

I'm as big of an animal lover as you're gonna find but I can't survive without meat. I don't wanna see animals tortured at all. I honestly just try not to think about where my meat comes from.

But I agree with Rifa I hope they could find a better way to treat our meat before they kill it instead of torturing it.

What about Buddhists, Jains, and some Hindus like brahmins (some people in these religions/castes eat meat, buy majority is still vegan.)

I am member of PETA btw.
