I feel pity for this woman, only because she doesn't realize how incompetent, naive, and rude she sounds on national TV.

What the actual fuck? I tried to actually follow this woman's logic while answering questions but I couldn't do it. She doesn't even understand what the hell she's saying.

Yeah, well, there are some dumbasses out there with the same logic...like Pastor Worley. And many other homophobic bigots that still exist in 2012. Anybody who is homophobic in general are ridiculous themselves.

I adore how calm Cooper is with her, no matter the amount of shite that comes spewing out of her mouth.

Here in North Carolina, the citizens passed a constitutional amendment to only allow one man and one woman to engage in a marriage. This is a perfect example as to why the Founders did not create a democracy, and instead a Republic. However, now the 51% are ruling over the 49%.

I just found this board and let me say nothing, and I mean, NOTHING gets me angrier than this argument. Being from the good 'ol Heart of Dixie I live right smack in the center of the Bible Belt.

This is by no means saying that everyone in the South is an intolerant bigot, but good God some of them are. I am a religious person and completely disagree with the message about how homosexuality is a disease or an ailment or something that can be "fixed." It disgusts me. When I went to the service for graduating seniors this year the sermon was on change and my Pastor, who I otherwise love, spent 15 minutes talking about how "gay was popular" and how we can't give in to "this type of trend." I got up and walked out. It's a very similar argument that the same types of close minded idiots made for racial dicrimination 60 years ago and it makes me sick. Peter said one time to the disciples when he sat down with those that were not castrated to eat and was repromanded (paraphrased): How do they do more wrong then us because we are all flawed? We do not all follow the old testament in ther way you expect these men too. They are not any different then us and deserve the grace of men and God alike... Even the disciples realized that everyones different and that the old testament had a few outdated or period motivated parts.

Here's my two cents:
I think that your sexuality is two things: genetic (out of your control) and it is your sexuality. I have absolutely zero right as another human being to force or condemn you for not being the way I am. I'm white, if you're black than you were made that way and I will treat you just as I would anyone else. If you're gay, then that's fine with me: Just because you are doesn't mean I have to be and vice versa.

Also, people think that homosexuality is a trend or something that is becoming popular. In a round about way they're right but not in the way they think they are. Homosexuality has always existed. There are many accounts that say famous Kings were gay, old film actors, even a President or two. Hell, it wasn't only existing in places like Rome but it was well-known and accepted on all status levels. So, I say that to say it's not becoming popular to "become gay" but rather to be proud or forthright with oneself and other about being gay. It's not a trend but an epiphany that this injustice against the LGBT Community is just that, injustice.

On a more humorous note, I think it was the comedian Ron White that said "I'm fine with gays. Everyone's got at least a little gay in 'em. My cousin for example didn't believe me so I decided to make him realize. I asked him 'Man, you like your porn don'tcha? And he said, 'Yeah man you know I like wathcing a little bit every now and then.' And then I said, 'Are you gay?' and he emphatically said absolutely not. I told him how everybody had a bit of gay in em and he disagreed. I said 'Buddy, you like those dudes in your porn to have real small dicks? And he said, 'Of course not I want em to have...big...dicks...' And then his face looks liked this:  :o :modesty: "

So, in essence, I think everyone has a little bit of gay in them. Some more than others. This by no means means that hetero is the norm, just that you aren't truly either. We are all different mixtures of the two.

So with that long ditribe outta the way, Cilogy, Steve, Chee: More power to you.

On a crappier note: "Church of England Objects to Gay Marriage Plan"
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/12/church-of-england-objects_0_n_1589262.html

Interestingly enough, the CofE was created after Henry VIII wanted to divorce his then-wife, Catherine of Aragon, but divorce was looked down upon by the church he used to support, the English Church from Rome. Dumbass hypocrite.
