Fuck knows what Bannon is up to, with this whole circus.

Despite Takedown And Legal Threat, Bannon Says He Still Backs Trump

The fallout from the book does seem to have damaged Bannon's credibility with some former supporters, including Rebekah Mercer, the billionaire backer of Bannon's website Breitbart News. Mercer issued a statement to The Washington Post on Thursday, saying, "My family and I have not communicated with Steve Bannon in many months and have provided no financial support to his political agenda, nor do we support his recent actions and statements" — a development that Trump pointed to in a tweet on Friday.

Donald J. Trump
@realDonaldTrump

The Mercer Family recently dumped the leaker known as Sloppy Steve Bannon. Smart!
But Wolff predicted we haven't seen the last of Bannon.

"I think he has many acts left in him," Wolff said. "I would put my money on Steve Bannon right now instead of Donald Trump."

There's something not at all right about this book, and I don't mean its depictions. I think Trump is on the right line in his quest to condemn it. We'll see how the next few weeks play out.

But the world is trying its best to impeach him. Not one outlet of media has has any positive thing to say about Trump in over a year in any country, even though a few things he's done have been absolutely beneficial.

Of course, he's still fucked up a whole lot more than anyone expected.

NY Times - Trump Ordered Mueller Fired, but Backed Off When White House Counsel Threatened to Quit

https://mobile.nytimes.com/2018/01/25/u ... ussia.html
WASHINGTON — President Trump ordered the firing last June of Robert S. Mueller III, the special counsel overseeing the Russia investigation, according to four people told of the matter, but ultimately backed down after the White House counsel threatened to resign rather than carry out the directive.

The West Wing confrontation marks the first time Mr. Trump is known to have tried to fire the special counsel. Mr. Mueller learned about the episode in recent months as his investigators interviewed current and former senior White House officials in his inquiry into whether the president obstructed justice.

And then there was the president's insistent claim that he could do something. I can fire him, he would say. Indeed, it was another of his repetitive loops: I can fire him. I can fire him. Mueller.
This was Bannon's fundamental insight about Trump: he made everything personal, and he was helpless not to.
Dissuaded by everyone from focusing his anger on Mueller (at least for now), the president focused on Sessions.

At a press briefing from his New Jersey golf club on August 10, 2017, Trump was asked if he had ever 'thought about or considered' firing Mueller. 'I haven’t given it any thought,' Trump responded.

American Urban Radio Networks White House Correspondent and CNN political analyst April Ryan said on CNN tonight she’s heard from a source there is “mass hysteria” in the White House over the possibility of President Trump firing special counsel Robert Mueller.

Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy, a close Trump confidante, said tonight–-after being at the White House today––that Trump is considering “terminating” Mueller.

Ryan tonight told Erin Burnett, “One of my sources reached out to me just before we went on air and they said there’s mass hysteria in the West Wing about this.”

If he fires Mueller, she added, “it shows that he’s impeding the process yet again.”

CNN - FBI chief has 'grave concerns,' clashes with Trump over GOP memo
"With regard to the House Intelligence Committee's memorandum, the FBI was provided a limited opportunity to review this memo the day before the committee voted to release it," the FBI said in a statement. "As expressed during our initial review, we have grave concerns about material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memo's accuracy."
