It was a truly dark, terrible, disturbing day. Every year, my heart goes out to the victims and their relatives.

I remember it quite well. I was eight years old at the time, feels so long ago when you put it like that.

Even outside of America, it was a big deal. I still remember how at the end of school all the parents were rushing to pick up all the kids so they could get home and catch up on the news.
