A bit spoilery towards the end though.

Pure awesomeness!

I think 2014 will start amazingly with this, GOT and House of Cards.

I love this show. Far better than the last four seasons of Dexter.

I've heard it's the very beginning, so they rewind it, or something. Could be wrong but yeah... spoilery.

They'll probably start the season with a very important arrest and then show us how it got to that in subsequent episodes.

On the heels of the just released promo for the upcoming second season of NBC's "Hannibal," comes word, via EW, that "Boardwalk Empire" star Michael Pitt will be playing Mason Verger, who is set to be introduced in the latter part of the second season.

Verger, Thomas Harris fans will recall, is a rich patient of Dr. Lecter's who unwisely begins to play a deadly game when he discovers Hannibal's secrets. In Ridley Scott's 2001 film Hannibal, Verger (who had, as a result of his actions, been horribly disfigured) was played in heavy prosthetics by Gary Oldman.

Returning February 28 at 10 p.m. ET/PT with an episode titled "Kaiseki," "Hannibal" season two begins with Will Graham still in custody for murder. Dr. Lecter steps in to help when bodies wash up on a riverbank. The big question is whether or not Dr. Bloom will be able to help Will regain his memories.

The series stars Hugh Dancy as expert criminal profiler Will Graham, who has a unique ability to peer into the mind of serial killers. Mads Mikkelsen stars as Dr. Hannibal Lecter, a psychiatrist who is helping with the cases and, unbeknownst to Will, is also a serial killer himself. Laurence Fishburne stars as Jack Crawford, the head of the FBI's Behavioral Science Unit. Caroline Dhavernas and Hettienne Park also co-star.

Nice, Verger is introduced... We can only hope for agent Starling somewhere along the line, IF they buy the rights.
