So do you guys think Nic Pizzolatto will continue with this series past season 2??

I remember him saying he has 3 seasons in him, tops. But we'll see. Each season is so concise, at just 8 episodes, but packed with information. I've been watching Season 1 over again, and it's incredible how much story and character development he was able to squeeze in there while balancing everything out so brilliantly. With great pacing. It would be nice to see three seasons in total, like a trilogy.

Yeah, I think he'll at least do a third season and then move on to other projects, especially if this second season is well received. If not, maybe not then.

Fuck! This season's gonna be incredible. The hype is so real that they'll release concept posters, and I'm all about them!

From the rural/swampy/forested hinterlands of Louisiana to the urban wastelands of California.

I'm getting some strong The Wire-inspired vibes/homages from this season.

Any little bit of info, including posters, gets me excited for this show.

I understand that The Wire is well written but i still can't get into it. I know, i know it's just not for me. From what i've seen from that show and the footage/info from this season, i dont see the similarities.

A little prediction from me about Season 3 (if Pizzolatto ever gets there)..

2 male detectives: Sam Rockwell, Benicio Del Toro.
