The Village is where his career took a bit of a twist, you could say.

How about Terry Gilliam? 12 Monkeys and Fear and Loathing were great, but I haven't seen anything else from him Ive found very worthy of praise.

Ha, really?
Gilliam said that he would have loved to work on the Harry Potter films, I would very much be interested in seeing his take on the films.

I love 12 Monkeys and I loved Fear and Loathing (Love the book too, first book I ever read). Other than that, what Ive seen is Brothers Grimm (Horrible) and Imaginarium, and well.. to be honest, I didn't much are for TAOBM, even though it's been praised. I have yet to see some of his other praised work like Brazil etc. Now that I know he was involved with Python, I think I'll change my mind about him being overrated I guess.

I think What MNS does is that he takes really good concepts which would make really good Short-films, and turns them into crappy FUll length features.
