Anyone else also thinking, Robert Zemeckis? I mean all he's got are Forrest Gump and Back to the Future.

Highest grossing movies has nothing to do with actual ratings. Micheal Bay has a few of them too, and everybody hates him. Titanic and Avatar have both received more than enough blacklash. Titanic especially in the years following it's release.

I've said this many times, Cameron is a fantastic director but a horrible screenwritter. He should direct other peoples scripts rather than his own because they're all chessy and the dialog is corny.

Agreed, though I wouldn't say Horrible. I would say flawed, and as time goes on it seems to get worse. He needs to hire a screenwriter to at least help him with his silliness, but sadly his ego is probably to big to comprehend that.

James Cameron is a great writer.

He's a pretty good story writer, but his screenplays are loaded with cheese, and it gets worse with time it seems. His least cheesy film was definitely The Terminator. Every film after has had some amount of cheese and cliche.

How is The Terminator terrible writing? I agree his writing deserves criticism, but terrible?
