This has a great cast. Fassbender, Pitt, Bardem, Cruz. The only one to be skeptical of is Diaz but I think she can probably play serious and dark. I like this cast. The thing is this is true with most of Ridley's films. He's still able to attract grade A talent but he doesn't seem to know a good script from a bad/ mediocre script. He gets lucky but only ever once in a while.

Totally agree, such a great cast with the exception of Diaz who I have never liked.

Yeah. I'm gonna give her the benefit of the doubt because Ive seen her play serious dramatic roles fairly well in the past. Not the best choice but I don't think she's a terrible choice.
