The fine arts museum is showing Hausu Halloween weekend! I haven't seen this before so I'm super pumped for my first watch of this film to be on a big screen!

This is correct. That said, Persona is not the most representative of Bergman’s movies in general. For that, I’d look to Wild Strawberries or Through a Glass Darkly.
As for Kurosawa, don’t limit yourself to his (amazing) samurai movies, his contemporary stuff is as good but often overlooked. High and Low being one such favorite.

Well this thread was made in early 2012, by then 1999 was about a decade ago. Now 2010 is nearly a decade ago. If anything it's the thread's title that needs to be updated.
