both.


that Paula Strasberg came across as one sick individual..they almost portrayed her as a devil having a stronghold of Marilyn's psyche...she was like a leech ...lol@ method acting...they really dissed the shit out of it in this movie

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead---7/10

Very well acted, good story, good direction from one of the great directors...and it's one of the most depressing films I've ever seen. I usually like depressing, or at least non-happy endings a la
the grey
but after I saw this, I appreciated it, and never wanted to see it again.

Nanook of the North (1922.) - Robert J. Flaherty

Another week, another film class at my dear college. Nanook of the North is a 1922 silent documentary film by Robert J. Flaherty. In the tradition of what would later be called salvage ethnography, Flaherty captured the struggles of the Inuk Nanook and his family in the Canadian arctic. It's hard to give it a rating since it's actually the first serious (dramatic & lenghty) documentary ever, interesting as well as educating.
