Cheesiest film in the series but still much much much better than that Resident Evil crap.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2012.) - Neveldine /Taylor

This movie was just so weird. Total non-Hollywood beast, like some fanmade-low budget Ghost Rider pic that managed to get Nicholas Cage and Idris Elba in the same room. Not that Nicholas Cage would mind the paycheck of said low-budget geek fest, after all he needs to pay for those pesky taxes... And cheese, of course. Because how else would you explain this madness? Cage is going mad, crazy and bad... And I just loved it. Thankfully, I watched it in 2D with my friends and we simply laughed out loud upon seeing him: a) pissing flame b) spitting bullets c) hissing with laughter while flaming the bad guys. The main plus would be Idris with his well placed accent, his priest is just too much fun. Action scenes were Crank-y enough, you either love Neveldine/Taylor stunts or you just don't care. This movie should be a good example how to do blockbusters these days - different. Even though I wouldn't exactly call this ''a good movie'' I'll still give it three out of five and prefer it over that previous flick, any day. Why? Because it took itself too seriously, this s*** just knows its place. Perfect example - comic book intro that explains Ghost Rider's origin: fast, funny, satiric as hell. In the end, the action scenes looked thrilling and inventive. Don't forget - trash CAN be fun, from time to time.

VERDICT: ***

Was it just as crazy as Drive Angry or Shoot 'em Up?

Hm... On the same level. But with one main difference, ''Drive Angry'' was simply bad - imo. This looked cool. Maybe because I liked ''Crank'', ''Crank 2'', even some parts of ''Gamer''. I knew what to expect.

The Conversation - 8/10
Francis Ford Coppola's strongest film. The Godfather Part I and II may be more ambitious, but The Conversation is tighter and more refreshing. The first act act initially feels too sparse, but the characterization pays off in the third act.

The Conversation is one of the most criminally under-appreciated films today. Bizarrely overlooked in conversations about Coppola, I find.

The Adventures of Tintin-

Second viewing. You know, I ended up liking it twice as much the first time. Extremely well structured (the action builds wonderfully- start with small stage the expand into some of the wildest action scenes of the last few years), and with environments that just pop off the screen, it's probably the most purely entertaining movie of the few years. I'm actually considering purchasing it now.

8.6/10
