alright perhaps that was a stretch, but you can't say his work has been consistently good lately.Allstar wrote:The Taxman wrote:Also, finally Mark Strong looks to be in a good movie again. I thought he was doomed to commercials and mediocre films for a while there.

Imitation Game is utterly brilliant. Benedict Cumberbatch number one with a bullet. Might win.

Benedict Cumberbatch is superb but Imitation Game is ultimately disappointing. Ending is problematic. Review later 2night. #Telluride —

The Imitation Game - Oh my! Marvelous!! Watching Cumberbatch as Turing is enchanting, he's remarkable. Wow what a film, bravo. #telluride

The Imitation Game 2014 ★★★★½
Anchored by a revolutionary performance by Benedict Cumberbatch, "The Imitation Game" is thoroughly engaging, funny, and full of heartbreaking emotion. This could be our Best Picture winner at next years Oscars!

Must be brief for now but THE IMITATION GAME is very very well done and Cumberbatch and perhaps Knightley are both well-positioned for noms.

THE IMITATION GAME: Solid drama, great work by Cumberbatch & an unflinching cold honesty that shames pretty nonsense like A BEAUTIFUL MIND.

.@WeinsteinFilms has another English war drama hit at #Telluride. "Imitation Game" plays as good as Oscar-winning "The Kings Speech."

“@mccuddles: @AwardsDaily What about Keira Knightley?”//she's just great. Best I've seen her. Loved this movie.
The cast and crew have assured that Turing's homosexuality will be in the film, but I don't think it'll be as big of a plot point as people think it'll be. It'll probably be more about Turing's achievements than his death.TalkOnCorners wrote:I'm really curious if they fleshed out the part about Turing being gay. That part was quite weak in the script.
