Still haven't quite figured out who all the actors are for some of these, particularly that second group...

The trailer looks very nice. But if I had to bet real money, Id guess that this movie will be a minor hit at best. And that's only because of the international market and the (relatively) modest budget. If the movie is mediocre, it will be a huge bomb, and the Wachowski's will struggle to find financing for their pet projects. Their last decent movie was Reloaded (emphasis on decent) and their last great movie was the Matrix, so anyone who assumes this is gonna be good based on the trailer is being overly optimistic. 50/50.

Personally, my bet is that I I'm going to absolutely love this movie.

They've been working on this porject for a long time. The book was actually introduced to Wachowski's by Natalie Portman, who was supposed to be in the film. Wachowskis loved the book as much as Natalie did, but unfortunately Natalie was already pregnant when Wachowskis and Tom began shooting the film. They had hard time with Warners Bros., I believe and some other major studios as well, because they didn't wanted to invest in such concept. Their claim was that is too complicated of an idea for audience, but Wachowskis convinced WB somehow. Now WB is only attached to distribute the film domestically. The budget which is %100 million, most of it came from the foreign investors. I am sure this is going to be something fun, different and fresh. I don't think it's going to be mediocre.
