i don't consider TDK original, it's a different interpretation on batman but nolan took story elements out the comic books. He still used someone else's ideas. I consider that an adaptation.

I guess you can say that.

But still I find it repetitive that every time a film that is not wholly originally that people accuse hollywood for being money hungry. It should be the creative team behind the film that's worth talking about because its their decision that makes a film what it is.

I'm not saying it should be bad, but it just devalues any degree of creativity in Hollywood. I ALWAYS keep in mind that a movie is a remake before I go see it. Not wanting to read subtitles is just pure laziness on the part of the viewer. I mean, even Nolan's direction of the Insomnia remake, that made me cringe a bit when I first saw that movie a few years ago, knowing that my favorite director did this. It was great, but that thought is still there: "oh gee, this is a remake "

Just read a draft of the script. It looks like they're keeping the controversial part from the Korean version. The studio might make them cut that part off though.
