Please post your nominations.

Only rule is that the movies must have been released between 1970 and 1979. Any genre.

I wanna see diversity because we have to reach a 64 number so please post your nominations. The maximum number of nominations is 20, the minimum 10.

Since we have 16 people who are willing to participate I wanna see at least 12 people giving their nominations.

Thanks!
Stick this.

PS: I wish people will invest some time and really pay attention to the films that will get mentioned in this thread and try to see them. You'll learn a lot about cinema.

In no order:

This is my second favorite era of filmmaking. Large focus on character, character actors thrived, lots of big, original personalities. Unlike, say, the 80's or 90's, they knew the limits of their technology then so they focused on great storytelling instead. Even though most of my favorite films have been made in the last 10 years or so, they're the rare ones. So many more films get produced a year, and the vast majority of them are utter shit. The 70's just has so many fantastic, truly amazing films.

Star Wars
Alien
Annie Hall
All the President's Men
Apocalypse Now
The Godfather
The Godfather Part II
Dog Day Afternoon
The French Connection
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
Dirty Harry
Network
Jaws
A Clockwork Orange
Manhattan
Taxi Driver
The Sting
Kramer vs Kramer
The Exorcist
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
