Well the film has performed way below the expectations. They've done a very poor job with marketing it so there is that.
Also this will be Lasseter's last film with Pixar.

With the last few Disney movies I've been like "wait it's already out?"
They probably target their marketing to parents and grandparents more often. That's how a lot of studios are doing it these days.
When the new Bond comes out, you'll probably see a lot of ads for the new Bond while someone else might see ads for something else entirely.
Just wait for the Birds of Prey and Sonic the Hedgehog showdown. A lot of people will be excluded from the advertising for both those movies.
