Titanic is getting a 3D re-release but that it’s being converted into 3D. Now I know that’s an inevitability – unless Cameron can utilize some of the Terminator time travel technology – but this will likely mean the crappy kind of 3D that comes from adding the extra dimension after-the-fact.

Breaking News:

James Cameron has stated that his crew spent roughly 6 months on one scene alone, enhancing the 3D to mind blowing perfection for the one scene of Kate Winslet naked. Cameron quoted by saying "I wanted Rose's boobs to look as though they were pressing against the audiences faces. I'm confident that it will be a remarkable feat in film making technology. The crowd will love it."

The scene has also been extended an extra one minute, to allow the audience the chance to almost interact with the 3D boobs. "Kids will love it!" Cameron says proudly.

why would i want to watch the world's most expensive love story again, especially in 3D when 3D tickets are so much more expensive than normal tickets, the 30% colour loss, reduction in size of the objects coming at you, the headache-inducing glasses, especially if i own the film on DVD at home?

If this is true, The Reader should be converted into 3D, they'll have a lot of months on their hands.

3d is only useful for games and documentaries.

I played Batman: Arkham City in 3D and after about 5 minutes, it started to give me a headache. But I'm good with films in 3D. Films should only be in 3D if it has a big budget and has a grand scale.
