It's art, it's milestone, others should follow. And, like Armand not so subtly pointed out - it's also entertainment, blockbuster, summer movie in tradition of olden Spielberg; event movies, down to their core.
Doesn't mean it's not classified under 'superhero genre', on the contrary, it means TDK trilogy is breaking the mold, expanding it.
