Well I went into this very excited, and I wasn't at all disappointed. I think it had it's moments where you think, yeah this doesn't really work, or that was some bad acting, whatever. But for most of the film, it was a fun, action packed summer film with a superb cast and some really nice cinematography. Serkis was great as Ceaser and Franco and Pinto weren't bad themselves. I didn't like the ending terrible much, but the rest of the film compensated for that at least. The CGI was very good indeed, but some moments looked a little poor, mainly during the scenes with the young chimp. But yeah, I enjoyed it a ton. One of the best of the year so far.

I'd recommend anyone thinking about seeing it to just go ahead and have a fun time.

I wasn't overly impressed the first time I saw it, and upon a second viewing my opinion hasn't changed much. It just doesn't feel like a Tarantino film.

Arthur (2011) -- 72/100

The story defines "cliche", but the films cast is perfect and Russell Brand's persona and humor makes it worth a watch.

I was really enjoying it until the last hour just dragged on and on. Still a pretty decent movie though. And really it might as well just be called Goodfellas 2 it has the exact same structure and tells such a similar story it feels like a sequel.

Cinema magic, really loved it. Second viewing for me, not much to say about it. It's the 'routine' kind of good if you know what I mean, you feel satisfied but nothing more.
