The Hunger Games (2012)

The script for the last one was fairly good (not great), but it was Ross and Stern's work that let it down.

I've only seen Lawrence's first two films and they're both shizen, but there's at least some strong visuals (moreso in Constantine). Not an atrocious appointment, but not overly exciting either. I guess Ross was an unusual choice to begin with anyway, so the conservative choice makes sense.
Trading days beneath the sun, for the cold and wintery nights of the Murmansk Run...

Yup. Very good adaptation.
How do you find someone who has spent a lifetime covering his tracks?

For some, he was a guardian angel. To others, a ghost who never quite fit in.

How are the sequels? Are they better than The Hunger Games?

Catching Fire gets good in the 3rd act. Mockingjay is the most intense, but it is considered by many (not me) to be the most disappointing. Each one has its strengths.

They escalate and become more grande scale, but for some reason I feel the first is still the best.
