At first I thought (d)Jango was supposed to be a blackxpoitaited equivalent of mass murdering, revenge driven jesus (whip scars), Shultz being Judah and so on. Then I thought it can't be just that because the references don't stop there. Jango-Jesus murdering people would/could be justified by the movie's universe being hell (the wood scenes look pretty theatrical, pitch black blackground, well lit grass, just like artificial scenery kinda). Django is on a quest to save his wife, which (if the analysis of some shots of the trailer) seems to have been corrupted by Leo's character (just like Beatriss becomes corrupted by Lucifer out of pain because of Dante's treachery and Django might've done something wrong before his wife's kidnapping too, but probably not because Dante's inferno was all adoubt redemption and attonement and being sorry for your sins and Django doesn't seem to be about that in any way). So Shultz might be Virgil, guiding Dante through the circles.

At least some elements are there.

Yeah, no. In fact, they literally explain Django being a completely different allusion than the one your talking about.

How is that supposed to happen? I just read the story on wikipedia and I don't see how it relates in any way. Why is Leo a Lucifer then? Why all the supposed religious elements (which are typical for Tarantino anyway, more than this poem that resembles mythology)? And how does nibelungenlied get in the way of it having inferno elements. They're both poems anyway and Tarantino's always mixing influences like crazy, so...

The script literally mentions it. Specifically.

I don't want to read pages of the script, how about just answering my fucking question with words and sentenses?

Wow, I just found out that this guy is Franco Nero, the actor who played Django in the original film from 1966.

You're asking how the allusion is there. I told you how the allusion is there, since they specifically mention it.
