During the first season it felt to me like with every episode the show just kept getting better and better.. except I felt the climax was episode 9 and after that it was like an episode to relax First 2 episodes of second season are also very promising. Give it another chance.Master Virgo wrote:I only watched the first four episodes of the first season. Wasn't that much interested to watch the whole thing. But after seeing all the hype for it now I might consider watching the rest of it.

GAME OF THRONES Season Two Premiere Gets Highest Series Ratings Yet
http://collider.com/game-of-thrones-sea ... ew/156875/
The initial airing garnered 3.9 million (3,858,000 to be precise), doubled its 18-49 demographic rating compared to series premiere with a 2.0, and was the most viewed programme on cable that night. This also means an increase of almost a million from last season’s finale. The next two airings on HBO later that night added 1.5m and 0.9m viewers, respectively. This gives a total of 6.3 million viewers for the night, not counting On Demand and HBO GO.
You can relax now Tyr, season 3 will be greenlit within one week.

Love this series, loved the season opener. Season 3 was already greenlit the instant season 1 was done.
3.9 million!

Only for one showing, add two more showings, HBO Go... More like 4.5, or more (bigger than any episode of Boardwalk Empire, except the pilot)oracle86 wrote:3.9 million!

Someone on CBM thinks they went a bit too far with the way they portrayed the I haven't read that particular book yet, but from what he said, in the book, it was more a passing reference and didn't dwell on it like that.

It does happen in the books, but offscreen. Since this is a tv show, SHOWING it onscreen makes for better drama.SilverHeart wrote:Someone on CBM thinks they went a bit too far with the way they portrayed theI haven't read that particular book yet, but from what he said, in the book, it was more a passing reference and didn't dwell on it like that.
Here's a summary of sorts of Season 1 for those who don't have the time to watch it all over again -
