also, from the above article, regarding Scorsese-Marvel comments
he’s not wrong lol.“ My only issue with what he said – and I have no issue with anything he ever says, I literally worship the man – is that he’s lumping a lot of movies into one thing, and I think that’s a tough thing to do. I think if we lumped in gangster movies and put in “Goodfellas” and “Casino” with some shit that’s not quite the same…” he offered as an example before trailing off.
“What I know is a lot of great artists who work on those movies, not just directors but actors and craftspeople,” Philips continued. “So I didn’t love that he lumped a whole group. It seemed rather reductive. But I do know what he was meaning. Really, what he’s talking about is exhibition. He’s talking about how they take over the theaters, the multiplexes, the screening spaces, and it does [not] really leave room for some of the other stuff. The only issue is movie studios are going to make whatever movies people show up to. In a weird way, the audience holds the power.”
Funny that him and ScarJo, two of the most hated celebs on Film Twitter, are so far probably the only people actually talking about the issue Scorsese is talking about instead of being baited by the 'is it art' thing
They are amongst the most hated on twitter?
wtf
wtf
who hates scarlett wtf
I've tried reading about Woody Allen and it just appears to be convoluted af.
On topic of defending rapists - almost entire Hollywood defended Polanski. I'd consider that to be far more troublesome than Allen who was cleared after investigation. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah the Allen case is convoluted for sure. But her going out to bat for him so eagerly is just....you don't need to do that lady. Jeez.Pratham wrote: ↑November 22nd, 2019, 1:04 pmI've tried reading about Woody Allen and it just appears to be convoluted af.

We shouldn’t judge people for that kind of thing. It’s really not fair.
