I really wish they would stop this "live action" reanimated crap. It's terrible. Looks like National Geographic with dubbing.

Even if it turns out to be a messup, it’s still a messup on a tiny scale compared to LK.
And I’m predestined to at least apreciate this more since the original practically changed my life for the better and connected me with my sweetheart.

Of course it did! But in a different way. Lion King was one of my first movies in cinema ever, ignited my love for the medium, whereas L&T connected me to love of my life years after my initial viewing. Complicated but sweet life story.
