Now that is a Marvel movie I'm excited for (if they keep it rated "R").

Have they said whether it's a movie or a show?

WandaVision, Loki, Falcon&Winter Soldier and What If...? all were announced as Disney+ shows. So I can only assume that Blade is a movie.

Ali is a great actor and a great choice for the role. A little surprised though that they chose him considering he is 45 years of age. This is a physically demanding role that will presumably last for the next decade.
It's been rumored previously that Marvel Studios had considered adapting an aborted storyline from the comics that featured Blade passing the torch to his teenage daughter. That could possibly be the reason for casting someone of Ali's age.

Age is just a number, Paul Rudd is 50.
Ali looks in fantastic shape.
