I don't think Bong Joon-ho would be a part of something where he'd just be repeating himself. Seeing this story stretched out to a 6 episode series could be ripe with possibility, but it could easily end up going the wrong way.
Bong is an executive producer (same role as this) on the TNT show Snowpiercer, which is literally just a stretched out story based on the film he made. And it looks terrible.
