I agree that Little Women needs to be more in the conversation. I can't help but think the late release date coupled with the shortened awards season has played to the film's detriment. I just don't think a lot of Academy voters got around to seeing all the films like they should have this year.

But certainly, Little Women deserves to be nominated for Best Picture, Best Director and I believe it should get acting noms for Ronan and Pugh, and possibly Chalamet.

To be fair, the academy award for best music should already be in Desplat's living room.
And, if it wasn't for The Irishman, best adapted screenplay should also aready be in Gerwig's. Supporting actor is so strong this year that I can't blame them if they don't nominate Chalamet, although he's amazing.
For best supporting actress, I can't understand that Haenel isn't part of the conversation, she should be front-runner. The rest of the noms should be the cast of Little women (Scanlen, Pugh and Dern (for Marriage story ))

Desplat does the same score every single time and gets an Oscar for it, so I won't mind if he doesn't win this time for once.
