Wasp Network,” Olivier Assayas (France, Belgium)
Marriage Story,” Noah Baumbach (U.S.)
Guest of Honor,” Atom Egoyan (Canada)
Ad Astra,” James Gray (U.S.)
A Herdade,” Tiago Guedes (Portugal, France)

Looks like a great line-up overall. Much to see. Quite interested in the new Polanski and a bit pleasantly surprised Joker is in competition too, same for Ad Astra.

Do you guys think the Academy will nominate Endgame and/or RDJ? They're going to push for it even though neither really deserves the award itself. But both will get massive fan backing, similar to how Joaquin is getting it.

With Joker getting the comic book movie hype, I don't see Endgame being nominated for anything else than technical awards. No way RDJ is getting nominated... I love him as Iron Man but there's no fucking way.

The race will probably be crowded enough, I don't think RDJ will get an Oscar nomination.

I mean, Phoenix, Jordan, Driver, perhaps Hopkins, Dafoe? Maybe Bale? it is not known

Joker is a better film than Endgame, and I quite enjoyed Endgame.
