Fans have been wondering if Daily Planet photographer and cub reporter Jimmy Olsen, a staple in the Superman universe, was going to be in Man of Steel. Now it appears she may be -- yes, she.

"Rumor has it Jimmy Olsen is now Jenny Olsen. A quick search over at IMDB confirms that actress Rebecca Buller will be playing a character called Jenny Olsen," according to io9 via (ComicBookMovie.com). "And there's no mention of Jimmy. Sure, IMDB isn't always the most reliable of websites, but it's worth noting."
Just a rumor, nothing confirmed yet.

Would be rather awkward if true.

I love Jimmy. It'd be really weird to see him be a girl.

Very awkward indeed.

Rebecca Buller btw. And yes. She does appear to be who's running with Perry White in the trailer.

Warner Bros. Pictures' highly-anticipated Superman movie, Man of Steel, has been rated by the MPAA. The film has received a PG-13 rating for intense sequences of sci-fi violence, action and destruction, and for some language.
